Jeganathan Ramachandram

(1962) studied fine arts and traditional painting under various masters in Tamil Nadu, India. He is one of those rare Indian artists whose Indianess remains at the centre of his creative impulse. There is an ease and intimacy with which he records events. His drawings are enjoyably precise ... technical line drawings but on purpose. They revel in the rich symbolism which each position or hand gesture or object offers within the context of Hinduism not only as a religious myth but as a way of life.
