(1946) studied art at the Atelier 17 and Atelier de Lithographie, Ecole Nationale Superieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris between 1966 and 1969. He obtained his Masters in Fine Art (Print Making), London in 1972. He brings to his works on paper a very impressionist play of form, space and the white of the paper. Long is extremely conscious of using framing devices that guide the eye to the central temple towers - whether by the craggy mottled stone of Batu Caves, some modern squared superstructure or simply a backdrop of the clean pure sky.
