(1961) is a self taught artist who was encouraged to draw and paint by his high school art teacher. In 1984 he met one of Malaysia's foremost watercolourist, Khalil Ibrahim, who he has continuously learnt from, work closely with and whom he considers his mentor. He uses his signature style in producing watercolour works of the temples in Malaysia and Indonesia. The watercolour works of the temples in the exhibition are not as bright and colourful as in his other series. He has been very careful with the choice of colours which have resulted in him producing the desired effect. The oil on canvas "Tanah Lot" painting brilliantly captures the scene at Tanah Lot when it is best viewed at sunset.
